VISUAL ARTS MATINEE

VISIT TO ZAGREB’S MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES

The idea for the VISUAL-ARTS MATINEE program resulted from the need to broaden the artistic experiences of children, and by visiting cultural institutions such as museums and art galleries children can enrich their lives with the enjoyment that art gives them in their perception of the world.
Art teachers from the Studio Tanay Learning Institute will accompany the children on their visit to the museums and galleries where they will discuss the exhibitions. During their visits to the exhibitions the children will be able to express their ideas and impressions of that which they have experienced trough drawings. At the beginning of the program each participant will receive an art kit which they will use on the field trips and which they get to keep at the end of program.
Parents should bring their children to a designated place in front of the museum or gallery and should be there to pick them up after the visit ends.
When filling out the application form, all parents are asked to specify whether they would like to be included in the program as active participants or as observers.
