On August 14th 2014 at 9:00pm was opened the exhibition of paintings of young academic graphic artist Dora Mihaljević in the gallery St. Jerome in Stari Grad at Island of Hvar. At the exibition opening spoke and the preface to the exhibition catalog wrote the academician PhD Tonko Maroević.
The title of the exhibition is Dora Mihaljević’s chain of shells, a garland of roses, an archipelago.
“Dora Mihaljević’s chamber world has been manifested in a series of graphic dedicated to the motif of shells and in the cycle of painted drawings that string up garlands of roses … It is interesting to note that two cycles of Dora Mihaljević touch on their structural characteristics, by systematic accumulation of relatively uniform particles, elements, units, but which are significantly separated in the character and nature of the selected motifs … “. writes academic Maroević in the foreword to the catalog
The exhibition in the gallery of St. Jerome can be visited every day from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.
